Lawyers

Three lawyers, and the matters each one takes

Ask for any of them by name. If you're not sure whose matter it is, write to the office and we'll say.

  • Clementine Wolcott, in a black suit with her arms folded, against a brown backdrop

    Clementine Wolcott

    Founding partner

Forms companies and serves as outside general counsel to the owners who run them.

  • Ambrose Penhallow, smiling, in a pinstripe suit and red tie against a dark grey backdrop

Sells and buys privately held companies, from the letter of intent to the closing.

  • Cyprian Fairweather, in glasses and a dark suit, his chin on his hand, against a dark backdrop

Settles disputes between partners, and between companies and the people they contract with.

Staffing

No one else works on your file unannounced

Each matter has one responsible lawyer, named in the engagement letter. When a second lawyer joins, say Ambrose on the sale of a company Clementine formed, we tell you first, and the fee doesn't change because of it.

We don't hand matters to junior lawyers to learn on. A filing service handles state filings, and an outside paralegal prepares closing binders; both are named in the letter too.
