Cyprian Fairweather

Counsel

Settles disputes between partners and over business contracts.

Cyprian spent his first years in practice trying commercial cases at a litigation firm, and came to the firm to settle them instead. He represents owners in disputes with their partners, with departing founders and with the companies on the other side of a contract, usually through negotiation or mediation. When a case does belong in court, he says so early, and prices the next phase before it starts.

How Cyprian works

Partners in a dispute have usually stopped reading each other's emails. My first job is to read all of them, and the agreement, and tell my client what a judge would make of both.

Most of these matters end in a buyout. I want my client to reach it while the company is still worth buying, and while they can still stand to be in the same room.
